At 52...everyday. Usually an hours cardio every day.  Feel really fit and never seem to pick up coughs and colds.  However its taken 5 years of not smoking at all and not drinking at all - you may not think its worth it.  I certainly dont.

I also don't seem to get sick very often.

I make a regular attempt to out sprint my dog home from the top of the street and in 12 years of trying I have yet to beat him.
I used to run the 100m & 200m for school and I don't think when you get past 30 those fast twitch fibres do the business any more.

Scarlett the bulldog used to be super fast when she was a puppy- there was no way I could outrun her.
She is old and slow now.

Parent's race at my daughters' school sports day in June.  Didn't disgrace myself.  They do it as a relay though so you aren't quite as exposed.

My wife keeps telling me I look stupid warming up for it, but I'd rather look stupid than have a muscle explode.

Monday - 5-a-side football. Short sprints as fast as possible.

Today is stair run day, so in the middle of a run in the local woods I'll be doing 10 x stair sprints, which entails running up and down a load of muddy steps.

edit: I'm 39, so not exactly old age

The last time I Sprinted! that would have been the mid 60's in a pre metric 100 yards race.
I prefer swimming for my exercise, less wear & tear on the old joints etc.

    1986. I was 14.
I ran the 100m in 10.9 seconds which at the time was very close to Olympic times.
I was very good at it and could do it again and again but could never get below 10.9.

Then life happened and i never did it again.

    Running is ungentlemanly.
