I have been fairly confident as a leaver with everything so far. The only thing that has me a bit worried is the Visegrad 4 saying they will veto any eu-uk trade deal that doesn't include the free movement of people.

That veto might happen but it won't last - the trouble with giving little groups a veto is that once they've used it on one topic (Brexit) they will feel entitled to use it elsewhere (non-Brexit topics). That will get the veto pruned very quickly.
Merkel (or her successor) will lean on them and make them tow the line.  Germany bankrolls the EU and will still want to be able to sell BMWs, Mercs, VWS, and Audis here.

The only way there will be a jungle camp at Dover is if hordes of people already here without documentation decide they want to go back to France and the French decide they don't want them.

All we have to do if the French insist on border controls at Dover is to open consulates in Calais/Zeebrugge to process asylum applications from people in France/Begium.  Then we use our legal right to deport anyone attempting to land at Dover without the correct documentation straight back to the port of embarkation in a safe country.  If the French or Belgium governments are not happy about consulates in the ports then we just do it through our embassies in Paris and Brussels and let jungles spring up there instead.

yes, I had noticed whilst researching yesterday that the US allows applications for asylum  whilst abroad, and wondered why the UK has a different tactic.  I had thought if they allowed  applications at consulates, it would change things - but perhaps more genuine applications  would be made?

It's good to point out that the UK can make its own rules on where to accept  applications, and as you say, it could be solely from UK consulates in France

Is there such a thing as a Brexit expert? They all seem to be talking out of their arse, both sides.

The experts never saw this coming .. Ronald Gläser, newly elected MP in the Berlin Parliament and member of  the anti-immigrant Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, accused Winston Churchill of responsibility for 50m deaths. TAs far as he is concerned the British are war criminals who need to be punished.

In East Germany, everyone  was taught by the USSR that the  Germans were victims in the war, and the the Allies were the bad guys. I assume  this  idea lives on
