My lad has a moto g4, and it seems very good too me. Quite large, which is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you use it. For the money, it's great.

Love to hear your thoughts. My nexus 4 is dying a bit, but I'm determined to get a while longer out. 

The nexus 6p reviews well but I held it and it's too thin -even in a case I'd worry I'd snap it a la iPhone .

Wilco - I have a Nexus 4 (now mostly relegated to a Spotify client - battery swelled and pushed off the back glass) so will make appropriate comparisons.

Easy - Nexus 5 or 5x. I had a 4, now using a 5 and I'll probably get a 5x soon. The 6/P is way too big for me.

Wileyfox Spark X is what I'd get if I had the money for a phone right now. Had the Moto G1 and G2 before, but I don't fancy the G4 for some reason.

Also turns out (found it while I was trying to dinf out how big an SD card I can get into it) that you can configure the SD card to be seen as internal memory. So no faffing about trying to get Spotify to put its cache on the SD card. I've ordered a 128Gb Sandisk card so that ought to last me a while.
