  • Van Halen triple album collection - Van Halen + 1984 + 5150

I'm not quite sure why they packaged a Hagar album with 2 DLR albums, would have liked to have had VH2 or Women & Children... With 1984 and VH1, but anyway... 5150 is undoubtedly one of the better Hagar era releases.

  • Bob Marley Sunday. Watched bits of the Classic Albums programme earlier. Some compelling evidence there about the long term detrimental effects of cannabis. Aston Barrett may also have the lowest speaking voice of any human ever, no wonder he played reggae bass. Then a Greatest Hits up loud in the car, lots of wizzy things in the remixes.

My brother suggested trying Jettblack and I'd never heard of them, but the CD (Get Your Hands Dirty) he gave me to try is superb!

Recommended if you like a bit of Rock!

Try listen to this and not tap your feet.

  • I put 3 classics in the CD changer last night and played them through while cleaning (very manly, I know)...

Van Halen 1984, Aerosmith Permanent Vacation, GnR Appetite...

3 of the greatest rock albums of the 80s IMHO

That's the only album of theirs that I actually like. Couldn't get into Raining Rock or the new one...

Today: Velvet Revolver's "Contraband", it's a great album. Reminiscing on the two gigs of theirs I went to and how good a frontman Weiland was.

  • Circa Survive "On Letting Go" - good album ;) I only have two of theirs but they had only just released "On Letting Go" when I saw them live with Coheed & Cambria and Madina Lake (I think) on one of those Kerrang tours.

I went for Coheed, personally, but Circa were bloody good (and still are today). Violent Waves, Blue Sky Noise and Descensus are also great albums.

  • Christmas came early. Art of Anarchy offering their album for free on their website in memory of Scott Weiland.

And it's really not bad at all. :)
