My brother quite literally died in my arms a few years back after a melanoma spread to his liver.  My sister now has cancer in her bone marrow so I have an idea what you're facing.  Congratulations on the engagement - you do realise you're going to have hire a massive venue so the fretboard masses can come and play   As others have said, speak to your HR people.  If they value you they will work something out.  If they don't then just walk away and find an employer who does.

My wife also has cancer. As Paul says here ^ ^ positive thoughts, whilst obviously difficult at this time, may help.
Be strong for her and make sure YOU have people to talk to/support you as well. The forum is here for you as you can already see.

Sorry to hear this, and best of luck Thomas.  Do try to look after your own health and sanity during these difficult times, you need some outlets like music to keep it together IMO.  Hope you still can make it to Brum at the end of the month, best of luck.
