+1 to there being unrest following the final vote regardless of who wins

With this election... hmm. In between 12 hour work shifts all week, it's been hard to compose serious thought. When Trump was going through the primaries, not many here on this forum gave him a chance. I thought he'd walk it and so he did. If there is one common factor between the US election and the EU referendum, it's that analysts, pundits, newspapers, and suchlike have consistently undervalued the protesting/alternative factor.
Clinton is known as a mobilising force on voting day. Trump is an unknown. So I'm going to put £5 on Trump.
If he wins, it won't be the end of everything. It will be the start of a new chapter of politics in America. One where both main parties have to look at themselves, scrape off the faded facepaint and mascara, and actually be fucking honest about why they both lost, for a Trump victory is as much a defeat for the GOP as it is for the Democrats.
I honestly cannot work out where to put my (figurative) money. I think either could win at this point... and as someone else said, whatever happens, America will lose. I'd far, far, FAR rather have Clinton in power though. Trump would be a disaster.
I just read this, no idea how much truth there is in it but it kinda put the shits up me anyway.

Does make you realise that "fascist" is a scarily accurate descriptor for Trump.
