Make your music room look like mine then she'll be too scared to go in.

A guitar might as well have been a mistress!

For me, honesty is the best policy and I've had a good year of buying and selling on with 'The Management's seal of approval'

I rarely get complaints about buying guitars, unless I go on a big expedition to buy them: my Mrs objects more to a big trip that could have been a day out for the kids. Hence mostly buying mail-order

Do you have labels on them all to be able to find the one you want?

I keep all my empty cases with labels on in a small box room/cupboard,ion a big pile, but have all the guitars out on the walls in my cave

Never had such an obvious stock take, it was ruthless.
I had to agree I have too many.
    Let the battle commence
I bet she has more shoes and expensive make up, none of which have a residual value.

We just moved out  .  We are just in the new house for 6 months, so I will have them on chrome shelving as a temporary measure.  When we get a new place then I'll need to get another set of shelving built.

We saw a house we liked that had a hidden basement room which would have been brilliant for the guitars and amps, but unfortunately our house sale fell through and we weren't able to get it.

I play some much more often than others (for example my Ibanez RG probably only comes out once a year, but the Feline Lion or 60 Strat are played almost every week).
    I'm quite honoured sir!

Many guitars have a re-sale value. Some you'll never want to sell.

It's a beautiful guitar Jon.  The neck always feels perfect and with the series parallel switch on the neck, I can cover a lot of tones with it.

@ToneControl I don't have them labelled, which meant that sometimes I play something I wasn't expecting - this is especially true with Fender cases.  I am pretty good with the Gibsons and the basses and acoustics.
