if you want pure spudz and don't care about how big things are / what they weigh..

I've had very good experiences personally with:

- Marshall EL34 100W/100W

- Mesa Strategy 400

both are great and fkn powerful... that said.. compared to both of them, I didn't think the 8008 was missing anything in either tone or power..

At the moment weight isn't a concern. Really I want something that is going to hit in the face, give the low-end grunt and absolutely THUMP you in the face.

It isn't silent, but pretty sure 2 differences - mine is quieter, plus the whine is way lower in pitch. Will compare later... that one sounds like a 1st gen Xbox!

Cripes, the fans on my 1500 don't start up until things hot up.  Even then that doesn't concern me as it guitary goodness is a fk load louder than the fans.

The Fans on my GT1000fx were loud, not crazy loud, but about the same as an average laptop running on full tilt. I reckon that video is about the same volume as mine was. My fans cam eon instantly, not just when it warmed up.

Saying that, my 1500 made a hellafk bang and failed on me one evening. From now on my dgf goes nowhere near my rig with wine in her mits .

Yep as I thought, mine is quieter and the fan whine is a much lower tone. Maybe that one is an angry female and I got a mumbling Barry White model...
