I have a lot of respect for anyone who uses their real name on a forum like this.

I would gladly support a switch to real name use, but it would take some resetting of current profiles.  Is that a practical option?

In my old job there were issues about using my own name on social media. My friends who are teachers won't do it as experience shows there's always a student who will track them down. 
I don't see why a real sounding name couldn't be made up anyway.

To be honest It's still in there, I have to carefully paint it to match the background whenever I enter a room.
