though i actually think, if ever she should not be around to play it, it should go where she goes. so as not be left as behind as some grisly holy relic to be fought over by investors.
maybe it should be burned in a pyre, or buried at sea in one of her favourite places.
but she may equally be super-pragmatic and feel the animals would better appreciate it more, so sell it to the highest bidder ('hard rock' instrument graveyard, vomit) and donate the funds to an animal sanctuary.
she seems to be a mix of the dark-romantic and the pragmatic, so am not sure which side would win.
i would want it is because (the way siouxsie has lived her life having had the influence on me it has) i feel it to have the most pure and impeccable juju or spirit of any instrument anywhere.
i have my own style and ideas about what a cool guitar is. i'm not into trying to be anyone's mini-me (not even my heroes and heroines). so it wouldn't see use as an imitation siouxsie fancy dress prop. a fate worse than death.
my interest would be more in the juju, the fetish spirit of it. what would it feel like to play it in the dark? would it give off a sense of her presence? would songs come out when i played it that seemed guided or coloured by the fact she owned it and played it and wrote songs on it for so many years? would a siouxsie song played on it sound even better than when i played it on my guitar?
so i would be interested in the idea of presence and spirit and trying to connect with that.
maybe she would put a curse on it as a joke before leaving it for someone else to pick up?
she seems to have a secret witchy side and a fabulously dark sense of humour, so maybe so?
imagine the 'hard rock' buying it for a million pounds (all funds going to an animal sanctuary), installing it in a glass case in their best restaurant, and the restaurant burning down that night. too pure!
