I wowed it, it looks great, very cool and nicely done. 

It reminds me of my mate years ago who painted one side of his Harley black and the other white, so when he ploughed through pedestrian crossings on his morning commute all the witnesses would contradict each other....

Thank you - I have to admit I've been considering changing things a bit for that one - fitting a dark rosewood board neck, pearl scratchplate and gold hardware, going for a look like this:

I've gone through the whole thread (as it is so far, I have a feeling it's going to get much longer). I've clicked Wow for the stuff that I really liked, and LOL on the ones that made me flinch in horror, but there was a lot of stuff that just didn't appeal to me one way or the other, so I haven't voted on them at all.

Am I doing it right?

Oh, and @Tenebrous - I love that purple RG, that definitely got a Wow

I was going by this:

"Votes can be cast based on your perception of what you know about the tonal qualities of the guitar and if you know it feels good to play. But be honest and only vote on its looks if you know nothing about the former."

No idea what it's like to play or what it sounds like, but it doesn't do anything for me looks-wise, so I followed the instructions in the opening thread.

I don't think that merits a perma-ban.

How dare you be rational when discussing musical instruments? You have to get really defensive, downplay everything that you don't own, while bigging up everything you do own, claiming that it betters guitars 10x the price & that anyone who buys anything more expensive is a fool for doing so.
