    To nickb_boy,

Lovely amp, I've been looking at these. I remember seeing you'd got one a while ago. What are your thoughts on it after having it a while?

Mainly the Yamaha THR 10C or sometimes my Ibabnez TSA5.The 10c is perfect and I really only use the TSA5 for set up purposes as I use it at our regular jam sessions  in a studio where it keeps up with a drummer and bass .The TSA5 has an Emmi 105 legend  fitted  .

Either my Excelsior if it's plugged in or my lads old beat up Peavey Rage, does the job at low volume.

Another Yamaha THR 10C  user here.  Definitely a step up from the Microcube it replaced especially for jazz cleans but the Microcube is a fine amp too.

This is my 'studio' rig, i.e. what I play through at home.

It's a bit of a return to sense after a good few years of playing through my PC using Amplitube or Gig Rig. It's also going to be used for recording, using a DI/splitter to send a clean signal direct to the PC and another via my board to the amp to mic up.

The Ashdown cab is there temporarily as it is my gigging cab (with my Selmer head).

  • Mainly use a Ceriatone OTS Mini, or if the neighbors are out a Musicman 210RD. I have an Orange AD-5 as well which sadly doesn't get used that much.

I generally use the AMT Stonehead these days at home... I just find it easier to get satisfying tones at whisper volumes at night, which is generally when I get to play.

    It's tiny!

I thought it would be a wee bit bigger than that.
