Plan 9 From Outer Space. Reefer Madness. Deadly Weapons. Wild Women Of Wongo. Those are all movies that got a theatrical release. And they are truly bad. Not - “oh Spider-Man 3 is a bit lame” level of crap.

Which is why I listed the modern Transformers films. The scripts and dialogue are terrible, the entire premise utterly stupid and the stereotypes presented within each film, from the annoying American parents to Anthony Hopkins mugging off Lord Bath, are dreadful. All of this is presented within the classic Bay camera angle disease where fight scenes lack clarity and the spectacle of big robots fighting in a North America city can be completely broadsided because we just need to have a look at the female lead's cleavage as she screams. 

Films like Plan 9 with sod all budget look bad and end up bad. A film like Dark of the Moon is a thousand times worse than Plan 9.

Plan 9 and Reefer Madness are bad but extremely entertaining whereas some films are so pointless they leave you with a sense of emptiness and of having wasted part of your life.

I watched Termiator for the first time in ages recently.  While the story isn't bad the production is awful and the acting terrible.  It was really quite hard to watch.
