After some searching around on Youtube I found a video whereby a chap in the UK was complaining about excessive hum through the different presets. I didn't give it any consideration originally as I thought this was how they were intended to sound. Turns out I was wrong and by connecting a USB lead to a powered laptop, it eradicates all hum and makes the noise gate useful again. After an email to PG, they have advised that they will be sending out a grounded PSU to replace the one it was supplied with. Anyone else experienced these issues? I would urge anyone in the UK to check this out.

Not a massive deal for me to have another PSU sent out as it is still worth every penny and props to PG for the no quibble replacement.

I’m pretty sure they legally have to provide a grounded PSU for EU markets don’t they?

No idea. Mine is a three pin UK plug one end and a two pin into the power brick which, I'm led to believe is not a grounded PSU but I'm sure there are others on this forum that could offer better knowledge. The fact that they have just agreed to send me a grounded one suggests the original isn't

Hmm, maybe it's because it's a post from a closed group...

If you're interested search on Facebook for a group called "Spark Amp Mods"

Got a shipping update today even though my amp hasn't been shipped yet.
They reckon they've sent out 19,795 units this week alone. If that's true (I'm going pinch of salt here) then that's great going.

It's here! Went home to get it from my neighbour, only had time to unbox it.  Similar size to the THR10 but it's deeper.  It feels nice and weighty, knobs feels good quality.  £299 street price would be worth it so £220 is very good value.  p.s. no customs!

Just had a quick go before dinner.  Brilliant. It’s like a THR but better.  I love the app integration and intuitive of it. Turning on pedals is easy, changing amp too is easy.  If you don’t want you can just turn the amp selection knob on the Spark and that also changes the amp in the app too!

i also had a quick go on the backing track, works brilliantly. Set tempo, play a bit and it’ll generate something for you.

I have spent about the same money on Marshall Acton and this makes that look over price.  Sounds great as a Bluetooth speaker too.

So what’s the all-in purchase price for one of these?

$224 + US sales tax converted into GBP (if that's where you live). I and others have paid no UK import duty or Royal Fail 'handling fees' as the units appear to have come from a fulfillment centre in Germany.
