found an old morse code key in a local antique place... so thought i'd shamelessly rip off copper sound pedals...

raided the parts box... found an old enclosure... and here it is.

it ain't pretty... well maybe it is in an ugly kind of way :)

It transmits it to a vintage radio enthusiast in Peru.

"There's a guitar sound on my buzzing"
it actually sends out a distress call to save people from my guitar playing.

@roberty it's pretty basic just cuts the tip to tip signal when you press.

Might be better to have it short tip to ground if you can.

@Sporky did you mean like this?

I did try it after you mentioned it - but it worked in reverse - the press brought the sound on... i'm sure it's me being thick.

Yes - but it's quite possible that the switch is normally closed, and pressing it opens the connections, in which case your previous wiring is the only option - sorry.

Does the switch only have two contacts?

@Sporky i probably could get it to work but the way the old morse code key works all wiring would have to run to the front of the key - i'll have a play out of curiosity. cheers!
