It’s not just you

It’s really tainted my (golden era) Jaguar if I’m honest! Also, love the fretboard lacquer. Who knew. 

The fretboard lacquer has started to wear away on mine now, but bizarrely in places it’s impossible to play like the end of the neck

Just thought I'd bump this cos I'm gassing hard for a Ric and clearly the best way to get over that is to possibly have more pics of the bloody things to lust over.

Now I spend my days constantly searching for the one I want. As well as Teles, Jags, JMs, Strats.

The very wonderful amp Dave Gregory goes through his Rickenbacker influences his collection and plays XTC riffs. Worth watching even through the two fawning guys ask idiot questions.

The same first riff I had to learn for the smiths tribute I started 3 years back. After torturing myself for a week (couldn't handle alternate picking at the time), I was on the brink of giving up. I persisted and carried on for 3 years. The rickenbacker was actually my own reward to myself for being able to play 90 minutes worth of Johnny's riffs :-)

It has to be said also : although Johnny never used them, 620 are the perfect middle ground between a Tele and a Ric to get his earlier tones
