Headless guitars are always Marmite, as are unconventional body shapes.

This one reminds me of Monty Python. Oi "who you calling big nose"

Based on the dust it left in the workshop I was going to call it the Martian. The Nose might be more appropriate.

Yea, great guitar. Had one before that id upgraded but stupidly sold it. Just got this one recently after suddenly realising I made a mistake selling my other one.

It's a thumbs down from me I'm afraid. A Shergold Masquerader was my first ever guitar. My mum bought it second-hand sometime in the early 70s - it was pretty awful to play, and it sounded terrible but it got me started. I've seen these going for quite respectable money these days, and I can only put that down to misty eyed nostalgia.

  • The floyd is no problem . My Jackson SLX  I have a piece of mahogany behind the block , tech put it in for me when he set it up , it stays in tune forever , I wouldn’t be without it now and that’s a floyd special not a 1000.

i had a beautiful neon pink sl3x Jackson and instead of the block of wood I had a brass L with an adjustable bolt ,but I didn’t like the clunking sound and had a bad stomach ulcer at the time  and couldn’t be arsed with it, I really really wish I’d kept it now as they’re hard to find.

the piece of mahogany is held in with strong carpet tape and does not budge at all but is removable so can be set back to normal ,but I never will as string changes are a breeze and tuning stability is unsurpassable

Or Viper, can’t remember which now.

Well it's got "Viper" on the scratchplate, so . . .

To be honest, I abstained from voting negatively on peoples guitars, it seems a bit mean. No LOL votes from me although there are some I don't like personally.
Normally I'd agree but people posting their guitars in this thread know what they are getting into.

Here's what I did to a JHS Vintage brand guitar I picked up for £20-odd.

You can't quite see in this pic but I reshaped the arse near the arm-rest contour alá Jazzmaster, and extended the top waist cutaway a bit. Oh, and gave it a German carve. And a Wilkinson steel block trem & Tonerider pickups. Strung to DADAAD

(still can't work out how to embed pictures)

My old matching set of Ninjas, since stolen. Managed to find another black one shortly afterwards though.
