I'll see if I can do a screen grab later but the chap from Black Country New Road uses something that looks like a Bloomfield Tele but in the wrong finish. I wondered if there had been some kind of reissue.

Not one which has ever actually been officially issued... but Clapton’s The Fool SG.  I assume there would be an awful lot of difficulty with ownership of the artwork.

    Didn't Vintage do a Fool?

I don't think Fender have ever done a Fast Eddie, I always thought they were cool. He had a couple of different ones but basically a 70s HSS strat( modded from SSS) with a brass scratchplate, etc. Eddie's guitar tech who did the mods on the original one has done a couple of bitsas over the years but nothing commercially available.

There's a company called the Painted Player that makes replicas of the Fool guitar as well as other distinctive instruments

there we go the BCNR chap and instrument. It surprises me that a young British person would have much idea who Bloomfield was and stylistically it’s very different playing.

    Gibson buckethead.

27” scale, with a bigger body.

Mental thing, rare and super expensive when they come up.

    Gibson ES-357.

    Three pickups & no f-holes.

I have a little bit of sick in my mouth...
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

So they did!  I wonder why Gibson never did one; it can’t be a competition clause for his Fender stuff, he’s had a couple of Les Paul signatures and a Firebird.

is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?

  • I would love one of these.

    Kelly Hayes (Cold) signature ESP.

Subtle it’s definitely not, but I love that band and I’ve already got the spider tattooed on my arm so I would look badass!

  • Gibson ES335S did them in Early 80s. Rarely see them now.
Dirty Fingers Pickups and Solid Mahogany.
Those look awesome. They're not the same size as a regular 335 though, right? That would weigh a ton, surely?
No, but a bit bigger than an SG so balances better.

I'd like the Gibson les paul vixen reissued.

Thinner body, maple cap, nice colours and affordable.
Also the Classic Lite looked cool too. As did the limited run LP Special Pro EX - flat topped special with humbuckers. Quite like the idea of this, I'm too used to flat topped SG and strats now, the top of a LP (plus the TOM bridge) feels like it sticks out miles. The current tribute specials would probably be cool if the finish wasn't so rough. If they were cheaper they'd be fun as a refinish/project guitar.

The Original Ibanez Roadstars. Plenty of Pro’s used them in the 1980’s. The RS1000 was a PRS CE24, before PRS had even gone into production. Sort the weird trem systems out and they’d be brilliant.

This is a great shout! I think they did a studio version, I'd love one now.

Plain white lp, bigger body, longer scale and a killswitch. Yummy.
