As an FYI, I just sold a couple of things on ebay via the 20% of the final fee deal.

On a total sale of £415, I will receive £404.08 - thereby have been charged a 2.63% fee. I believe under the new payment system, the £404.08 will be paid into my bank account without any further deductions (albeit in two business days' time).

Not quite the £1 giveaway, but I am happy.

Be interesting to see what tomorrow brings, the next traditional fortnightly listing deal falling due.

I have no idea why I used to get the £1ers, as I am hardly a prolific user.

But I did contact them recently asking for an offer (as I'd not received any for a while). They told me that I did meet all the user credentials criteria, and lo and behold I got the 20% the week after.

Give them a try via their IM - I have found them to be quite responsive.

I wonder how their systems decide who gets what?  I have a shit load of stuff I want to list and, typically, got the crappy 50% deal so it'll have to wait :-(

I haven't done the exact maths, but if the sale proceeds exceed £60, the £3FVF is better than the old £1FVF because there are no PayPal fees to consider.  At least that's my understanding of the new eBay payment system.

    I got it too.

@russpm - I just checked my account, and the deal qualification mentions seller profile. This is (apparently) a rating based on sales performance - which is linked to feedback, speed of dispatch, volume of sales etc etc.

I presume from the amount of items in my eBay watch list that have magically been relisted overnight that another deal has gone live for this weekend?

Well for the second time running I haven't bastard well been offered it and typically have loads of stuff I could do with listing :p

Just got a 2% variable fee offer.  Have to say it was clearly explained - eg sell something for £100 and pay x would have helped a lot.  Does anyone know if this is a useful deal - 2% is decent but am not sure of the other fees that might be attached

The only other fee that might pop up is an "international" fee which I've mentioned before... it's an additional 3.8% I think so not small change. You'll get that if any one of the following is true: a) your buyer is outside the UK and you ship to them b) you use the GSP to sell to an international buyer or c) your buyer is based in the UK but has an eBay account registered on a different eBay site to .co.uk.

Otherwise, sell for £100 in total, pay £2.
