I built a Fuzzdog clone for IIRC £50ish and it sounded identical to the Helix model so £179 is way over the odds

Considering the real thing can be had for £250 ($295 with high gain on 1 side added) if you just go for the basic....if you have patience, this does make this quite expensive.

Appear to be cheaper in the US at 149 USD, which is about £50 difference.

Wow. That’s a sign of the times when the retail dollar number is lower than the retail pound number.

Have you seen where the pound is at the moment? Worst level for 37 years. Unsurprising that it’s essentially cheaper in the US now once you factor taxes in and the fact it costs more to get them here.

I had a pre-order in but cancelled after seeing the difference in price between Sweetwater and here. 

I've had a KOT on the board since 2019, I'll compare the Duke to it eventually.

I just got mine - sounds great! Particularly like the boost mode. The tone control doesn't do much, it sounds how it sounds but that sound is really good.
