R.I.P. and what a talent and unique voice.

His family home in Wallington, Surrey is just a couple of doors down from me and my older neighbours have regaled me with stories about him. Even in his late teens, he was a petrol head with Escorts and Capris littered about the road.

Oh no!!! I just heard this sad news on the BBC 10 o'clock news. 

I knew he was an active guitarist, and didn't think that he would leave us so soon.

Absolutely gutted. An amazingly player with a unique expressive style. His playing was a big part of my life and a huge influence. I first saw him play in 1973.

The greatest of the classic rock guitarists and a real innovator. Really upset by this news.
