I don't want to live in a world where the F1 world champion isn't filthy, stinking, rich.

It's not down to talent alone, of course.  His value to Mercedes is a bit more than just the fact that he can drive fast (if they make the car good enough, there are a lot of drivers who could win the world title, or support Nico's title bid and secure the constructors' title.  In fact there are almost certainly lots that would pay for the privilege of being number 2 at Mercedes.

It's business.  I'm always a bit disappointed when drivers extend their contract, though.  It's much more interesting when they move.

He has really stupid hair and a patchy beard.

He wears girly earrings.

He obviously wants to be a rapper rather than a driver, judging by the clothes and jewellery he wears.

Yeah ok, he has stacks of money and is internationally famous, but is he happy?

The Lewis/Vettel interview the other week was interesting, Vettel came over a much happier chap with a different set of values.

Yeah I saw that, Finger came across very well. Lewis always seems like a spoilt brat in interviews.

In his celebration as he crossed the line and had a little laugh at LH's misfortune. I think Toto had a quick word in his ear as he was honest and contrite at the post race interview. Felt a little sorry for the boos Nico got - that's not called for.

The SC was a joke ... why let all the back markers past?

If I had my cynical hat on, I'd say that looked like Mercedes trying to engineer a title fight to avoid allegations of the season being boring by the summer. But they wouldn't do that, as Lewis might fuck off to Ferrari, except he can't now until 2019...

Lewis has an escape clause in his contract. I think it was an honest mistake. Rosberg is Mr Boring and Lewis is clearly the faster driver and in terms of a high profile brand ambassador Hamilton is light years ahead of anyone on the grid. Even Bernie had a pop at Rosberg saying he and Finger Boy lacked personality and engagement with German F1 fans, which is partly why there's no German Grand Prix. And the Merc F1 team look like a bunch of dick heads. It wasn't Rosberg's fault .. we won't know what Lewis might have said to the team.

Agree not Rossbergs problem , bur some heads must roll at merc for that.
That was outrageous, even as a mistake it was a huge mistake ...
Lewis will really have to get his head straight after that.
