Solo starts at 2:04 - it's a bit more melodic, and takes a lot of cues from the clean rhythm guitar in the verses to lead in to the end chorus. I guess this is the more "compositional" type of solo from me - the previous one is more of what happens when I'm in a hurry and don't really have time to do much but widdly-widdly. There's still a bit of widdly silliness in there, but it's more of an accent on the theme than the focus. At least, that's how it was supposed to be.

@digitalscream I think you posted an earlier version of this track a while ago?

I remember really liking the chorus.  Nice solo too.

I've just had a listen to the tracks people have posted up here, some good stuff indeed.  

@Danny1969 interesting finish on that Roadstar.  I used to have an earlier one in Red with a flame top, it was a really good guitar.  Mine weighed a ton though!

Some lovely clips here so far - here's a quick jam thing I did a while back to compare amp drive against drive pedals - forgive the crap camera work - I've since learned how to aim it a bit better

its like Hybrid picking ...im not a great picker so i seem to have got into the way of letting my fingers take care of the top strings and plec for the bottom.....its basically legato but instead of using the pick to move to the next string use a finger..i sometimes use the 3rd finger as well when i want to skip strings..sometimes i do alternate and still use a finger for the next string but its all picked..ie no legato..

It's an old Ibanez Roadstar from about 86. It's the best Ibanez I've ever played, the thing just sings and harmonics really jump out even with dead strings. 

This is same guitar but sounding more like a Telecaster
