J-Mo was awesome.

I remembered another name earlier - Nabokov. He left MR I think, not sure what he does musically or ever did, or what he's doing now or who he even is, but I remember his posts... he was hilarious and seemed terrifyingly intelligent.

Who was the MR guy with the Steve Vai obsession? He had one of Vai's actual guitars as well as lots of other monkey gripped things and several Blades as well. He was actually a really good player too, very Zappa influenced.

That was Dave MALAM. He was a truly wonderful player. He owned Neville, Vai's stripped-to-bare-wood Jem, beautiful!

Wow, don't remember that bit! He was a bit aggressive though. His band at the time seemed very out of character with the guy posting on the forum; all low key melodic soft pop.

Watching that and thinking back to the MR Jams it's become apparent to me that J-Mo may actually be my biggest influence! There's more of what he did in what I do than pretty much all of the guitarists I listen to.

I'd pretty much given up playing back then and had never recorded anything but between him, @barney, @Danny1969, @funkyfraz, @mellowsun, @bingefeller and anyone else I forgot (@dudeiferous) I got back on the horsie and despite the tendonitis still persist today! Thanks guys!
