The trick to getting this song is in the right hand. It's all about that rhythmic beat on the strings, up and down strokes, pick or not it doesn't matter.
It's effectively 8 beats per bar from your right hand so practice that with deadened strings first then focus on the chords and riffs. Yes okay you don't hit all 6 strings but still get that rhythm going first.

Does that make sense because it's not easy to describe how to play something in words ! It's much easier to sit and show you so maybe instead of trying it next weekend, we can take some time out so I can show you it and practice it together for the next jam in Cambridge?
