The lannister big man wasn't shown as dead until the first episode this season though so not sure that's an indicator?

I meant Charles Dance yeah, ok he had a few bolts in him but we didn't actually see him die till the next series. It's hard to second guess what's next but I doubt J-Snow's going to stay dead.....

Enjoyed it, re started all the stories well. Little bit light on Aya-not sure what that was about? Am I missing something.

Good start to the new series. I didn't really expect what happened to John Snow, so pleasantly surprised to far. Add a couple of gruesome deaths, and it is great to have GoT back.

Aya needs to learn about herself and who she really is before she progresses I think.

Perhaps we are going to have a ruthless Jamie and Cersei back?

The ending was pretty much what I thought about that, there's always a price to pay (deliberately vague non spoiler).

All in all, set up for hopefully a kick-ass season 6

Its just great TV, so well made.

Dunno, but I felt a little underwhelmed by the first episode, not sure why. It had tons in it, so maybe I was drawn into all the hype and ultimately would have been a bit meh whatever they did.

I thought Melisandre was going to burn herself up to resurrect John Snow, still think that may be on the cards - the ultimate sacrifice for the Lord of Lights chosen one or summat.

Tyrion & Varys - brilliant pairing.

It was a good opening episode.

Tyrion and Varys are quality.

We didn't get any Littlefinger, which is a shame cos he's the best one. Unless he died last season and I've forgotten, in which case it's a shame cos he's dead.

I enjoyed it. Thought it had a good pace. 

Straight into beheadings would have felt like it was trying too hard to shock.

Nice to see Captain Phasma back properly too.
