Electrician says he can do next week, so on Wednesday I'll pop out and buy the lights. Going for four 6-foot twin-LED tube lights.

Ducting ordered - there was a 20% off sale.

Still not cheap, but it should keep the place (and my lungs) clean.

Lucky man. My electrician can't even quote for the ground cabling until after Christmas.

Agree about the LED "tubes". Nice steady light, and nowadays it's a decent colour.

Only about 300mm of overhang, alas, but it'll be some nice shade in summer.

I spoke too soon - it's the week after next now. Hence ordering the ducting; hopefully I can have that done before the electrics go in.

Ta. I figured if I was going to do this at all I should do it as well as possible. No point going halfway on something like this only to end up with reasons not to make the most use of it possible.

There's the edging for the roof, the corner flashing, the gutter, and most of what's left is the heavy duty floor, which gets sealed with resin. Pretty much done though.

They're back tomorrow. Today they seem to have laid most of the floor, added the gutter and the corner trims.
