I'd like to see a foreign manager, and a selection of foreign players

The only English manager I wouldn't mind seeing is Sean Dyche, but I doubt he'd like to ruin his career.

Who is there that would actually do it? That would get the players in line?

I can only think of Pardew and that would be doing Palace a favour

    He's gone. Lolz.
How embarrassing, his dream job he's been chasing for years as well.

  • I never thought I'd see an England manager resign for being part of dodgy dealings... and it wasn't Harry Redknapp.

  • Fat Sam for the Albion!!!!!!

    F-ing hilarious.

The whole bloody lot of em have got their snouts in the trough. He's only going because he was daft enough to get caught.

Right. Let's have the next victim. I'll be checking the Telegraph site later, once they've put the rag to bed.

They should do it democratically. Everyone gets to vote for a tactic and then vote on players for each position.

    Fucking ridiculous isn't it?

While I'm the last person to make excuses for the twat, what kind of person goes out to get him sacked?

Presumably they're English and footy fans?

Surely they can't have wanted him out after 1 game?

Talk about shitting on your own doorstep. Sad really.

The FA's obsession with an English manager is holding them back. Its hilarious for those of us who aren't England fans to watch the carcrashes unfolding.

  • ...and from a Scotland fan's point of view the fact that Southgate will be boss for the match against us is a definite boost

  • One of the funniest things to happen to the England national football team since Gary Linekar shat himself on the pitch.

Not quite as funny as the Old Firm obsession with playing in an English football league though.

I assume it's some form if breach of contract, he better not be getting a massive pay off.

The whole thing is a farce. Surely the way to get around the rules on third-party ownership is no secret. And the "expose" about "Woy" and "Neville" are a bit pathetic too. Given the circumstances, he had to go, but those circumstances look manufactured by the scum in the press to me. And I don't really like "Big Sam"!

... Not sure a whole two consecutive English managers can really be made out to be an obsession.

The Scots' obsession with English football is cute though :)
