  • Can I suggest Tony Pulis?

Please, someone take Tony Pulis. He'll keep England up, guaranteed..

He comes from the Wrenner originally, IIRC, although his accent long gone.
Tipton is a small fishing village in the borough of Sandwell.

That'd be the footballing counterpart of taking Immodium whilst constipated....

  • He's the only England manager to have a 100% record.  So let's give him some credit.

I think his accent remains pure Black Country but with Lancastrian vowels. An odd mix.

Having listened a bit to Saggers on Talksport, I am swayed by his point that given the possible further allegations to come, added to Allardyce's comments on 3d party ownership which the FA outlawed 6 years ago, they had to get rid because there will probably be 'bringing the game into disrepute' charges following,  plus possible follow up investigations. Ergo they have to be whiter than white and not compromised by keeping him on.

The whole thing is a farce. Surely the way to get around the rules on third-party ownership is no secret. And the "expose" about "Woy" and "Neville" are a bit pathetic too. Given the circumstances, he had to go, but those circumstances look manufactured by the scum in the press to me. And I don't really like "Big Sam"!
This is exactly the point.  What good do they think they have done?  Dickheads.

It obviously looks like a sting orchestrated by people with some pre-conception of what kind of person he is, but what business does he have talking to people about that sort of thing?  How is he serving England football?

He's clearly (at least a bit of a) crook, and obviously arrogant or stupid enough to think it's okay to entertain such ideas.

  • What a complete twat. Finally get your dream job & then throw it away.

As has already been said, he's got to be the shortest serving England manager of all time?

Hope he's not getting anymore of that £3m...

He has the right to seek work outside of the England manager job. It's no different to the sting the Telegraph emmployed in partnership with Dispatches that nabbed Straw and Rifkind.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/investigations/jack-straw-and-sir-malcolm-rifkind-did-offer-cash-for-access/

In that instance, there was a clear public interest. This isn't so clear cut.

They apparently tried to stitch up about ten different managers over the summer, and he's the only one to fall for it.

    What a fucking numpty.

I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin

But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to

Perhaps someone from UK Sport or the paralympics team could be brought in?
They might not know too much about football but they know how to win something.

Dunno how useful dressage experience will be at Wembley. Wayne Rooney has ridden a couple of old nags in his time though.

No, it's an oblique reference to Pele and viagra.

Anyway, the latest from the Telegraph is that eight managers are accused of taking bungs.

In other news,  yet another dog has bitten a man, the Pope is Catholic, and all over Britain Toyota Prius cars are being badly driven by Uber drivers.

The way this is all panning out, Big Sam might be driving for Uber by the end of the week.

Big Sam is a fool, and many other things, but the reporters are absolute f*ckwads. I would laugh so hard if someone managed to f*ck up their lives.
