I've always fallen hard for 'growers'.  It's taken around 22 years, but now I'm convinced Tim Rutili is an absolute genius.

  • Ryan Hamilton and the Traitors - pop/rock/country, slightly Tom Petty, and apparently has Ginger Wildheart on it ( @Bucket might like it?). Came across a review and bought it straight after.

also the Wild Lies, album just out. Found out after that Adrian Smith's son plays bass for them. Just good heavy rock.

This is the short version of the song but it is an interesting video (and a good song!)

  • I just stuck Disintegration- The Cure on for the first time in over a decade. Some wonderful textures in some of those songs. Took me back to uni in 93.

I love the guitar tone on Going For Gold when Paul Banks kicks in the gain!  <3

  • I think I've posted this on here before but David was on Radio 2 earlier and this is still remarkable ( it went into the US top ten on three separate occasions) although I hadn't realised it has Herbie Flowers on bass ( it's a great bass track).

I've been listening to a lot of fuzzy new garage punk/surf rock punk type stuff like Ty Segall Band, Bass Drum of Death, Wavves etc and need more but it's hard to find stuff that sounds as good as these - usually have a lot of wishy washy vocals and boring songs that aren't catchy. Ty Segall is pretty much awesome with everything he does and I'd love to find more stuff like that if anyone has any suggestions! Particularly the Band stuff and the album he did as Fuzz.
