Max Romeo was an alias of Lee Perry. Producer extraordinaire.

@JezWynd  ; Shutup! How the fuckin' fuck did I not know this??

Here's about the last thing I have of his:
    Alpha and Omega, "Dub Fire"

-not sure if I'm missing something here but Max Romeo is a real person and not an alias of Lee Perry at all. Scratch produced Romeo's best known works but they're not the same person!

Hah! Stuff I assume! Always dangerous (gets worse the older I get). Am I safe in saying Perry produced? (I am, just checked, his band too.) Apologies to @Grunfeld and anyone else I've fuc*ed up in a pub quiz.

Been recommended Walking Papers and I'm not disappointed. Awesome singer and a great dirty blues feel

  • The new Thrice album "Palms"
Some good songs. Some average songs. Overall, if you like Thrice, it's a decent enough album. :)

I've been headbanging to Frank Black and the Catholics most of the weekend. I've got an unhealthy love for the outro solo on this in particular:

Can't listen to this at work but am a fan of FBATC as well of the pixies of course.  Thalasocraccy, white noise maker, freedom rock, abstract plain, billy radcliffe all highlights for me.

  • The new Idles album "Joy as an Act of Resistance" came out this month to critical acclaim and I can't get some of the songs out of my head. They are a Bristol born punk outfit with intelligent and witty lyrics. I saw them at a festival this summer and they blew me away.

They are going to be on Jools Holland this week.

Listened to The Pixies live at the BBC album, then got an email from my brother pointing out I had missed that they are playing 5 dates in London this October all sold out.
