The vocal delivery is pretty good for such an impromptu performance

If we are not ashamed to think it, we should not be ashamed to say it.

Going through a list of stuff re-discovered this:
Mikey Dread - "Israel (12 Tribe) Stylee (Extended Play)"
So good... this was the sound inside my head in the early 1980s...

On Radio 3 this morning. Sublime yet slightly crazy.

  • Not a fan of whitesnake at all, but this was consistently good from start to finish, even the ballads...

Sharon van Etten on the Glastonbury Bbc iplayer.

“Comeback Kid”, “Seventeen”...sings, plays guitar (Jaguar and a 135), plays keyboard and by the way she sings about a foot away from the mic, has got a strong voice!

New band to me, and i’m a big fan already  :)

I've been studying this track over the weekend. It has moments of genius, but the Clash impersonations are pretty poor

I've been trawling KEXP and NPR Tiny Desk.

    Dakhabrakha
Mdou Moctar - the desert Hendrix? ;)
    Khruangbin

I also thought "ooh, there seems to be a lot of Mac Demarco about, must be good". Is not. I'm not against him per se, but life's too short.

I've pretty much been listening to Jesca Hoop 'Stonechild' on constant rotation for the last week.
Best album of the year, if not the best I've heard in a few years.

This is the single, Red White and Black.  The video is odd, but the song is great, not the best song on the album though - actually, not a single duff track on it.

    Shoulder Charge - live
