Good luck @fretmeister. Ignore the time and just do the distance and you'll be fine.

Quick (for me! 29 min) 5K tonight so 45k so far.

  • Another 5k for me tonight, a bit too cold this evening and a bit hungry after work so didn't push further but a steady pace, albeit made less steady by cyclists without lights racing hogging the pavement...

    Running total: 27 km

Another 5km today so weekly total since Monday 20km. Got a 6.5km run in Edinburgh I've been 'volunteered' for in April so don't want to finish last.

    Cheers

Just putting a reminder here for myself gents.

Carterton to Darlington = 357 km.

14 weeks to achieve target (Easter) = 25.5 km per week required.

I need to get some 6/7 km runs in.

The tightness in my calves went after week two. You're not injured though hopefully @tone1 ?

You did the right thing.  The worst thing is to keep running and hope it goes away.   Sometimes the quickest way to get to where you want is to do nothing.   Being injured will slow you down far more than not training for a few days.

I ran Alice Holt Parkrun in a, post ablation, PB this morning.   Still 4 mins off my best but I`m very pleased to be improving slowly.
Cross country tomorrow. I`ll be rubbish but it will be fun.

Good effort, nice part of the world to run in too.

Beautiful day here through in Lanarkshire too.

    Tues 7.5k, Thur 7.5k, Sat 10k = 25k and 63.5k total.

Think I'll keep those distance for a week or two and try and work on improving my times

Quiet week so far. Mud and hills from last weeks race caused an achy tight left glute so took a few days off from running to let it recover.  Couple of gym sessions instead. 15 miles this morning with the marathon group(road) all fine. Another 15-20 planned for tomorrow (off road).

Total so far this year 107.3 miles/172.7km , excluding tomorrows run,  which should take me over the 200k mark.  Ticking along nicely :-)

I get that sometimes with my right calf @tone1, its a bit tight at the moment but not so bad I can't run on it - I think it might be down to my running technique. 5k in the park run today and a run thursday brings me to 18.4km for the week and a year total of 66km. According to Strava I've run for 5 hours 38m already this year  :)

I did 16k out in the cold first thing today. 5.27 pace and just under 200ft of climbing. A bit tough after a 5k race/pb yesterday. Achy legs today!
