I can't run with music out here, with the single track roads- I'd get run over.

I listened to the cricket on the radio for most of it, which was great. Can't do it without some distraction.

I did the inaugural Riverfront Parkrun on Saturday, and then a 9-miler yesterday. And now I have a virus today. I'll try a lunchtime run tomorrow and see how it goes.

Cross country was great. I was Rubbish. 194th! Still, it was lovely course and there was cake afterwards which was nice.

Was cold and had a bit of a knee twinge but otherwise ok.

I ran last night.

total now 34 km.

Need 43.3 per month to hit my target. Hopefully will get some extra in the bag too.

How are you finding the runs now- are they getting any easier?

When I think about how much of a struggle they were 18 months ago or so, it is nice to know I can knock out a 5k without too much trouble.

The lungs are fine now. Seem to cope quite well.

Its the legs that are suffering now! They hurt way before I'm out of breath.

January 24th: 105km+ 5km = 110km.
Knee is stil twinging a bit so it was 25:05.
Hopefully it fixes itself.

I have a cold at the moment. I may try 5 miles tomorrow. As long as my long runs stay on track I should be OK. I was only ever going to jog the HM anyway.

Upped it to 6km tonight to get on target. It felt good.

I've just took a punt on a pair of Sauconys. Never had a pair before, I was tempted by the RRP of £110 as they were only 27 quid on mandm. £83 'saved'???
