I just read two love letters she wrote for me after the event. They made me smile. There are letters and gifts for everybody for the next 5 years. I will wait until after the funeral for these, as she intended. I simply could not wait to read those two letters, though.

I know its incomprehensible now, and will be for a long time. 

But you will still feel her hugs and that vacuum you describe is totally relatable to. They say time heals all wounds, and I never believed that. But time does, atleast change and help. 

I just hope I can help you find some solace by saying that everything you will feel is absolutely human. From sadness, anger, depression, wanting to be left alone, wanting to connect. 

You must give yourself as much time as you need. 

I believe in you. You will start to make sense of everything. 

We are all here for you, and so are many to help out too if ever you want.

I think she gave you one last great gift. After the strength and togetherness you have shown, in terrible circumstances you faced them and we're always their for her. After this nothing should make you doubt in yourself or your ability to face up to whatever life throws at you. You've been tested painfully and came through as an example. Stay well and remember how much Sheen wants you to be OK.

Really sorry to read this news. I've been following this thread, but not written anything until now. We've just gone through something pretty similar with my Dad who we lost 4 weeks ago so we know some of what you've been dealing with. He didn't get to a hospice and passed away at home. He'd arranged his own funeral too so that took a little pressure off us, but it's still been tough. You've just got to do whatever you need to do.

As others have said, take your time, don't rush anything and after everything you've been through, please try and get a little rest. You've been super strong for Sheena and now you probably need a little bit of time for yourself.
