Your life will improve when you realise it’s better to be alone than chase people who do not really care about you. Saying YES to happiness means learning to say NO to things and people that stress you out.

Wayne's World, Wayne's World 2 and Pirannha DD.
The first 2 need no introduction, the last has the story line of a weak porno, the same level of acting, and is basically 1 hour of women in bikini's. So bad it's good.
I also watched Lavalantula, and 2 Lava 2 Lantua. Steve Guttenberg's career has gone down hill since the Police Academy series. Also see, Marion Banks and Michael Winslow who are in both and Leslie Easterbrook (the years haven't been kind). Again, put in the so bad it's good category.

Ok, the going back through time element was still there but where were all the robots?
Devoted dad tries to rescue his super-powered young son from religious cultists and the US government. It's a bit X-Files, a bit Close Encounters, a bit ET... well-made, good cast, some good set-pieces but you never know (or care) exactly what's going on or why, even though it's fairly obvious where the story's heading. Meh.
Lots of nostalgia but I felt the story was lacking a tad.
T1 - 10/10.
T2 - 8/10.

I'm slightly conflicted about this.
I knew literally nothing about it when I went in so the opening number was a bit of a shock!
Firstly I think it's important musicals exist and do well if good. I can't remember the last time I saw a musical that wasn't animated.
I'm many ways (in fact in most ways) it was superb.
It really is a big Hollywood studio musical from the golden years. The ways the actors move, talk, dance, sing, the lighting and even the quality of the colour was fantastic with that in mind.
It was emotional and cleverly mixed old type standards with thoroughly modern twist.
The leads were great.
My only problem, and I think it is a big one for a musical, is that I don't think the songs were great. The instrumental stuff was fantastic but the vocal numbers, not so much. If I'm being charitable they would grow on you but walking out of the cinema I couldn't remember a thing.
8.236/10
Not my normal fare but Mrs9000 was quite keen. Enjoyed it much more than I expected to. Probably took all kinds of liberties with the facts, but easy on the brain and a lot of fun. 8/10.
Yes. Seriously, go watch Lavalantula and 2 Lava 2 Lantula for proof.

Next job, watch The Deer Hunter, which I've also never seen.
But I think that's the point, the point that although these people are singing their feelings, a musical, they are not like the leagues of professionals, so the slightly reserved and understated singing, and dancing suits the movie.
By old musical standards, only the opening number is the one that is big, the rest are much smaller and more intimate.
As for the music, I really like it, songs wise City of Stars is the one I keep humming but the one theme I come out with wanting to learn is their theme tune on that piano. So they must have done something right.
I've seen this 4 times now, just love it.
