5 miles around the quarry.
My feedback thread is here.
I really hurt now...
Look how far you've come in the last year.
That is amazing work.

I've only got to do one more session then I can stop.
Now time for breakfast.
I am achy, but pleased

Well that's another 1.4 miles under my belt. In total works at about 4 ½ km.
I've really got to get my arse out earlier in the day. It's too warm.
All I've got to do now is beat the next session.
26th May: 632km + 6km = 638km.

Two slow runs - getting the miles in, but I'm not sure how much good it's doing me at a slow pace.
29th May: 638km + 10km = 648km

A long slow one up a gorge this morning, then up a 1,000 foot hill (which sounds so much higher than 350 metres). Path not well suited to a fast pace, but the scenery made it worthwhile.
Bricking it a little to be honest, even though I've run that distance and more, it just seems a bit more real.
I'm thinking about putting in for a 10k later in the year.
Worked out a new 7k running route I was really excited about and went out to do it on Saturday morning. I think I might have made a screw up because the route started at a big hill and trying to go up it without any warm up made me instantly feel like shit so I stopped and walked half way up it. From that point on I just couldn't get into a rhythm (my pace was yo-yoing all over the place when I checked back on runkeeper) and my heart rate kept spiking up to 180 so I had to keep stopping to calm it down.
In the end I had to stop after about 5k went into a Tesco and bought some water, sat under a tree for about 10 minutes. After that I did the final 2k home which was fine, but I was a bit bummed out about the whole thing.
Figured I needed to get back on the horse so I did exactly the same route today (minus the hill which I walked up before starting) and powered around it no bother at all. (quite slowly though because I was a bit nervous given the previous run)
Two lots of 7k, puts the total for the year now up to: 166k
