I swapped the speaker out for the Neo Creamback which does make a huge difference, the amp is now bolder in the mids and the treble isn't as fizzy in the top end (i do actually like a bit of fizz!), it also feels louder and clearer at volume.
Sounds huge through a 4x12 as well, I've tried it with a 1960 and Silver Jubilee cab, both sound awesome with the 1960 surprisingly taking 1st place. Maybe I don't mind T75s after all!
Its so good I have sold all my drive pedals (have had about 200 of those by the way!) and just use it with a KOKO boost.
Is there a lot of low end punch ?
I only got rid of my Slash SL-5 as it had no bottom end at all and I need a bit of thump
I think its crunch tones are the best tones in it but I guess that's no surprise.
I think the Session youtube vid is the closest to how mine sounds in the room.
I have my engl for modern tones with huge low end and my Carvin legacy for smooth leads. I use a 2x12 with V30's
Looking at Marshall again for crunch rhythm tones and blues type lead tones. Plus I'm also after Slash type sounds
My SL5 was great but had zero bottom end
I'm liking that the 2525 has two EL34's rather than the EL84's they seem to put in 20watt amps
Just goes to show you should trust your ears and not worry about it too much .
