Maybe take a look at Mondaine, the Helvetica line (or the standard stuff if you like the railway clock vibe). Quite respected name, pretty Bauhaus-y, nice 38mm size.
Some people do want a watch to discuss over dinner. Ultimately, your phone or a smart watch will keep the time in every time zone to-the-second accurate forever, but you wouldn't catch me dead with an apple watch on my wrist (yet )
Digital photos? People still like prints, people still shoot film and slides.
Digital music? There is a whole world for Vinyl.
Electric cars? I can guarantee that petrol cars will be kept even when electric is mainstream.
In practice many things are better and more convenient with digital but a lot of people just prefer old school, some of these people weren't born when those products first came on the market but discovered them later on themselves.
The current apple of my eye is this Bauhaus style one from Paulin. Being a Glasgow boy myself the brand has a lot of appeal for me (possibly foolishly but hey ho)

They also do an automatic version which is rather tasty but a lot more expensive (obviously).
@raymondlin that kickstarter watch is really lovely. Can you share enough details that I can google it? Cheers

That one you linked to looks like it uses the same movement, and very good price really.
Currently saving for an Omega Speedmaster Pro which I'm hoping will be my lifelong daily.
You can draw parallels to the old Greco Les Paul & Gibson thing.

Not the most most expensive automatic watch in the world but I love it’s classic design and I’d take it over most expensive bling watches anyway.
Of course that then gets me itchy for a vintage Datejust..
I really like this one though. It’s a ‘79 so almost a birth year watch for me!

Just compare this lovely, relatively understated 5513 with the latest 116610:
