I feel like I walked through the guy ropes on our tent.
Maybe I should have done this a while back and made sure I asked Tony to add it then.

    I'm blaming medication.
    *shuffles off quietly*.
    Sorry.
    :)

Take your pick from the s/sheet table @HPhillipsmusic  and let me know - it doesn't just have to be songs not-taken, we'll be doing a few repetitions of the popular ones anyway.

    @Alnico ;

If the solo for "Sunshine" is still vacant I'll step in. I'm rusty but I have learnt it :)

All the guitar parts are more open to you lot than to me.
I'll be happy to step in and play or just as happy to either sit back in the mix or sit out completely.
If there's a space for you to play it on Tony's rather excellent spreadsheet and you want the solo that's fine by me.
Likewise, if you get to it and don't want to try, I'm happy to either step forward or step in and play it.

My role as 'Floating' is here to lend support only where wanted or needed.
Otherwise, the day is about you lot, not me.

You can play it after me
I have spent a lot of time on it this weekend and made some good progress (Thanks @Alnico by the way)...so you can play it afterwards to show how it *should* be done :

@Alnico @TTony ;;Can you remove me from 'Call Me The Breeze' please. Playing it in F# is too much of a trial.

And I'll play rhythm on Crossroads with maybe a go at solo but its a bit fast for me.

    Ta.

I think it was for JJ too. I've never found any live performance of his where he plays it in F# - it's always in E. I bet he used a capo on the recording though.
One day I'm going to make a guitar out of butter to experience just how well it actually plays.

It's certainly a little less finger stretchy in E
    ;)

Bloody Clapton is too fast :)  I am thinking the same in the SOYL solo!   I will get there in the end though.

If I do solo on anything, I'm going at my own speed!!...

And my recording of Call Me The Breeze is F# but I am guessing its Eb tuning so that would make it G, which is a little better, though A would probably be best.

I suspect it's just capo'd at the second fret. Like I said earlier, I can't find any footage of him playing it live in F#. The oldest footage I've found is mid-eighties and he's playing it E.

You will have noticed that we are a touch short of vocals at the moment.

    Here's my starter for ten:

    - If you want to have a go (no matter how ropey you think you are) - then please do! I'd ask that if anyone is having a go at vocals then please be as encouraging as possible..
    - If there are absolutely no volunteers then perhaps @Alnico or @Not_the_DJ could play a lead guitar line as a vocal substitute?
    - If not, we can do a few as an instrumental.

Suggestions greatly received. Volunteers especially greatly received.

Oh, and I dunno about you, but seeing the running order actually in the flesh when I finished it kinda made me stop and think "shit just got real"

    Oi oi.

Guitar slots look filled up but I used to sing lead vocal too so anything that doesn't have a vocal I can take on.

Presume these are all in original recorded key?

    @Bridgehouse look /\ a willing vocalist.

Do we not have anyone willing to have a go at the bass for Cupid's Dead?

    Bueller? Bueller?
