I think musicmans R8 is for sale at Peach. There’s certainly another iced tea up for grabs. Looks nice too. And very light at 8lbs 5oz with the medallion on!

    Now repeat after me.

I must not GAS for more R8's. This is a sickness. I have enough already.

Wow, just wow. Just spent a good hour or so at least with the lemon into hardwired orange with El34s, set at the point of breakup with a touch of spring reverb. Completely and utterly blown away.

It is so freaking fat it is ridiculous. Warm and thick on the neck with this woolliness that is so hard to describe but incredibly characterful. Played with fingers it is completely gentle and softly soulful, bring in some light pick work and this ringing treble comes to join the fun. Dig in a bit more and the amp gives out this hairy overdrive. Combine all three and the dynamics are simply perfect.

And when you stop playing, it keeps on ringing and ringing and ringing. The lemon is the best of the bunch for this, I'm a complete nerd and timed it, over 20 seconds of sustain before I gave up and unplugged. WTF?

Just wrote about 3 new progressions. Love it love it love it.

    Oh my!

Dont get me back on the lemon’s again

Ha! Its only a colour - although it was yours that got me thinking about iced teas . They are all such good looking guitars you really can't go wrong.

Tonally it is so bonkers, you guys have to try yours through something with EL34s. It's astonishing.

I'd like to see what they sound like through something with 6V6's too, bet that would be lovely too.

Great write up. Sounds like an amazing guitar! Certainly looks the part!

Thanks - I'm finding it pretty special. It could be a bit warm for some, but it is very clear at the same time, so that hitting an open A on the bridge pickup makes such a huge yet detailed sound. It is completely different to my others, one of which is more middy and the other much more airy. I'm really glad they all have their own characters.

My RK100 stack is EL34 as is my Cornford roadhouse and my Carvin legacy plus the MK50 is 6L6 so it’s party time over at mine right now :)

Wife is away with my son so it’s getting messy swapping round all the amps

I caved. Plain top R8 with a hint of figuring, alongside my R9.

I was looking for a gold top but I haven't seen the right deal yet and I'm tempted to try an R8 before they all disappear.     Any more for sale or just the last couple at Peach?

    Cheeky cherry. Gorgeous

I fancy an R9 but would have to be a dirty lemon with a cracking top but they’re all gone now

Mine sounds much better with the new pups too. I did think about the Slash pups but thought they may be too bright as the guitar itself is quite bright already
