    1969 D35 has gone for $1,095,000

If that is a bit much his 1976 Ovation could have been yours for $399,000

1954 Fender Strat, changed screws on the bridge clearly knocked the price down to only $95,000 so just $20,000 over high estimate.

    It's all relative of course!

Is that the main black Strat or is that still to come?

Incidentally, looking at them choosing 3 zeros to preceed the serial number 1; I wonder what the total number of Fender Strats ever made is? More than any other model?

The black strat is the last one they're going to auction off.

Black Strat and The Wall Les Paul still to come.

The person that got the 0001 Strat had balls, there was someone on the phone and whatever they bid the person in the room just added $100k, they were going to win no matter what and money clearly isn't an issue for them.

Wondered if it was @Gassage, that not being the case - anyone seen @HarrySeven?

0001 isn't the first strat- it was a guitar built for Forrest White to take to a show. 0100 is the first one. I have played 0297.
