1955 Goldtop Les Paul - used on the solo of 'The Wall'

    estimate $30,000-50,000

    Initial bid $35,000

    Sold at $360,000!

My 1954 is available for under 10% of that just saying ;)
Actually that Goldtop may prove to be the bargain of the show!
Nige- the Broadcaster at $120k for me!!
James, the solo on ABITW was NOT played on a Broadcaster!
Believe it or not, that just doesn't bother me!

This bit of the Auction before the Black Strat comes on is like being seeing him live and be forced to listen to 'the new album' bit so you can hear Comfortably Numb at the encore.

How many of these are going to bidders in the room? or is it mostly anonymous phone/online bids?

    I reckon 50/50 between room and online/phone

Gretsch Firebird (Lot 42) she had it at $9,000 and someone in the room just shouted out $20,000 - that's the atmosphere.

It's at $50,000 now and still going

I imagine these prices will see the death of the fretboard's classified section with a lot of people just shifting their sales to Christies.

Can't get the website to work at all; on Chrome and Firefox the link does nothing and on Edge it loads up a popup window with some Ts and Cs but no video.

Anyone managing to view as a spectator?
