The body for this was made by the late great Brian Poe and the whole guitar weighs just 3kg strung.

This one has a Guitar Mill body

That’s a stunner! The neck looks great - curious what shape is it?

  • I forgot to NGD this - got it last year: Body (with contours, yes) and neck by @GSPBASSES, pickups from @OilCityPickups, finishing and assembly by @rexter. I had a idea of the guitar I wanted, and what I ended up with was exactly that, despite the fact that I couldn't properly explain it coherently at all. Strap a Heistercamp christmas present from my wife.

  • There’s some very cool Teles here all round.  My fave has to be Poopot’s, but I’ve got a soft spot for OP’s AO too.  Bit late to the party but here are mine (green one has a U neck, blackguard has a 10/56 V)

My online bargain that turn out to be an awesome guitar

  • My American Special Tele. This hung on the highest hanger in a local guitar shop for months, out of reach both physically and financially at the time, and I refused to ask to play it - I had a feeling I was going to like it, and that would have scunnered me since I wouldn't have been able to take it home. I searched through a lot of cheaper Tele's that I could afford, but never really bonded with any. Eventually, after around 5-6 months, I DID have enough money to buy the guitar, and finally had a go. Instantly fell in love with it! The neck WAS the best I'd ever played (see further in the post...)

The only upgrade's are the Emerson saddles. It has Texas Special pickups in it, and I love them!

My Custom Shop '61 Telecaster. Bought last year from the forum, solely because I loved how it looked, and had recently started to prefer the look of a rosewood fretboard over maple. This ticked all the boxes for me aesthetically.

The neck and setup on this guitar are incredible. Maybe a touch on the small side for my hands, but not enough to put me off.

I didn't really bond with the stock pickups - Twisted Tele in the neck, and '51 Nocaster in the bridge. Not nealy enough oomph for me, especially with what I was used to with my other Tele. I did enjoy the 4-way selector options though.

I upgraded the pickups last year to a set of Monty's Full Monty pickups, and also installed their 5-way loom. It sounds amazing, and I now obviously have even more options with the new loom.

@smudge_lad you should swap the necks and have a dark side tele and a light side tele!

Ha ha! Good shout - would match my tattoo's ;)

I may yet swap the maple neck out for one with a rosewood fretboard
