Spoonfeed is the longest English word with its letters in reverse alphabetical order.
    And on a related note:

"facetious" contains all of the vowels, bit only once, and in order
One of my favourite facts; there are a bunch of others such as adecticous although facetious is probably the only one you might use in every day conversation.

    What a facetious presumption ... ;)

The reason a standard bottle of wine is 750ml is because that was, approximately, what a glass bottle blower could manage in one breath, before industrial processes took over.

In that case, proprietory (apparently an alternative version of proprietary) is one longer.

    Possibly doesn't count though

A duel between three people is called a truel.
Truel is a neologism (a newly coined word) used in game theory to describe a duel between three people. Assuming each participant acts in their own best interest it is often the weakest player who is expected to win since it is advantageous to attempt to eliminate the strongest player first, the next strongest player second, and so on (huge oversimplification but you get the idea).

    No, two notes, like a C and a D.

If you buy something that's "banana flavoured" the likelihood is that the flavouring comes from a variety of banana that was wiped out by disease some years ago and no longer exists.

Sadly it is possible that this will happen to the predominant variety of banana in the shops today.

    Zombie milkshake anyone?

I remember reading something about this. All bananas are genetically identical aren't they, or something? In effect all clones from one original. I thought the ones that everything is flavoured of still existed but were very rare... fascinating though
