Do they ship from Uk, or will we need to allow for import and vat charges?

Ah.... so expect VAT on top as well?

  • I know YouTube compresses and I'm listening through my TV soundbar but that is so ridiculously close to the original, I think it's only the mid gain setting where I could hear a tiny tiny difference.

    Bravo JHS

It’ll be direct only to keep as much profit for the company as possible.

That is still a low price if you are in the USA.

Hopefully IKEA won’t be unhappy about it….

It does cast doubt on expensive overdrive circuits.

I’ve ordered one for my pedals collection just for the novelty factor.
    I won’t be building it.?
The first 3000 have already sold out.
So this is expected in January.

Dreadbox are still doing their Hypnosis multieffect DIY box - BBD chorus, lofi delay and real spring reverb. It’s also solderless. It’s mono, unlike the standard Hypnosis desktop box, and you might need a 3.5mm adapters. Was £179 exc vat from Thonk. Bit much for me, but also looked fun and technically less per effect than the JHS

The technical difficulties of making a no solder pedal clearly I don't understand but there is obviously some kind of market for it. The idea of 'I'm making a pedal from a kit' whilst needing no particular skills at all, well I'm probably in that target group. I used to buy Build Your Own Robot magazines with my son so I can manage a screwdriver and some wire strippers.
See what happens in the New Year and if someone else runs with it (if you include that £34 shipping it's headed into 'I could just buy a nice pedal with that money' territory).

It doesn’t work on ordering a Notaklon sadly.

This is the duplo bricks of pedal building. Would be great fun as a Christmas present for the Centaur in your life.
Love the name as well. Fair play to Josh!

I got my order in before the magic 3000 was used up.
TBH, I don't have a Klon drive in my collection of stuff and the demos of it sound as good as the original to me, irrespective of how its made and price point.
The fact its a bit of fun too makes it a no brainer for me.
