I've always thought signature guitars are rather silly as invariably the artist didn't use them for their seminal material, rather they got a signature after they were known.
Apart from Steve Vai, who has used JEMs on everything from Passion & Warfare onwards.

Also Les Paul used his on a lot of his definitive records, if you count those as a signature model.

I have Reverend Greg Koch p90 in black. Superb guitar. I didn’t buy it because of Greg Koch but because of it’s versatility with all the PUP configurations and the Bigsby.

Had a PRS SE Zach Myers, but no more.
I've always liked the look of these and I love PRS (see my Akerfeldt and Akesson above) and thinline guitars (generally Teles). A bucket list guitar for me in the original green.
Seeing some of these Akerfeldt models is making me (again) regret never picking one up...
I am an Akerfeels and Opeth fanboy, but I cringed at the logo and gold hardware on the guitar. But it plays so well. Wang bar, 24 jumbo frets, satin neck, great finish and ergonomics. Mine has Bill and Becky L-500s, it's an absolute delight, I'd say if you have the urge then go for it.

Brian Moore MC1 / i9.13p, Chapman ML-2 / ML-3, Fender 1977 Strat Hardtail / Richie Kotzen Telecaster, Peavey Predator / T-60, PRS SE Akerfeldt / Akesson , Squier Classic Vibe 60s Strat, FSR Custom Tele x2, Simon & Patrick Folk Cedar

I was quite keen on the Akesson model at the time, and before that the Nick Catanese Evil Twin model... I'm glad I never bought the latter, he turned out to be a dodgy character.

  • ^^^^I had one of those Troy Van Leeuwen Yamahas; cracking guitars but couldn't get my pea-sized brain around the various switching options. I've also previously had a Jorma Kaukenen Epiphone Riveira signature guitar. I'd never actually heard of either guitarist before I bought the guitars, I just got them because they looked great and I liked the spec on them, which is the same criteria I use for any guitar purchase.

The only other signature guitar that's been on my 'want' list is an Eric Johnson Strat, but again purely because I like the spec of the guitar. I don't even like Johnson's music, though obvs I recognise he's a great player.

I have a Cort MCB1 Matt Bellamy sig, which is for sale by the way. I’ve had a Tremonti PRS SE in the past but grew to really dislike it.

I’m not normally one for signature guitars/gear, but I put that aside when the Sadowsky Jimmy Bruno had the exact specs I would want in an archtop.

Not too sure what genre you'd play on that but blimey, that's stunning.
