  • Do the reverbs from the M series get a nod? My old POD had a shimmer verb on there and it sounded fantastic, been trying to replicate it every since and never been able to! "Octoverb", I think it was called!

I like how they've called the Friedman the "Placater" - every man and his dog had been asking for it. I didn't think they would as they've said (and I like the notion) that it gets silly with people just endlessly comparing modellers, so they were going to lean more toward interesting stuff than following the herd (eg the Cartographer - which is blinding)
    Red ones are better.

It was Mr Igloo who posted the report I mentioned.

    Ooooft that’s Glitz sounds great.

wish there was a super HD spring reverb but to be honest I quite like the 63’ that was already there

  • Get in. I am properly pleased about the m series effects. Well played line 6 @Digital_Igloo kudos sir!
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

Really surprised by all the hankering for a Friedman model (basically a Marshall right?) - I hope line 6 go back to developin g thier own "new" models as the one up to know have been excellent.

The M-series / Legacy stuff is a huge bonus. Looking forward to trying some of the filters and synth fx that @meltedbuzzbox keeps recommending :)

Helix is certainly a gift that keeps on giving, thanks @Digital_Igloo and team.

Now we have to see if the new reverbs allow me to move my Mercury 7 out of a helix loop and onto my pedal board!

Psyched to finally have time coming up over the weekend to actually start exploring the Helix.

Any recommendations of ‘must try’ presets or anything? I look forward to creating my own tones in due course obviously but any highlights from the preset stuff that I should look at?

Basically a Marshall in the same way as a Marshally is Basically a Bassman
they don’t sound like Marshall’s at all (apart from maybe the clean channel)
