Enjoying the performance from England, understandably a bit of a nervous start but totally dominating, just need to get the ball in the back of the net, sure it will come, but I'd take a draw now.

Lallana is sublime. I'm worried he'll be out of breath 20mins into 2nd half though.

I don't follow football much but commentators saying England have been sensational appears to be a massive exaggeration, what's the score at half time? against a mediocre team? nothing sensational about that. This level of performance would not hold up to one of the leading teams.

What a result for Wales. Watching the anthems you'd swear the game was being played in Cardiff. The tackling by Slovakia was "robust" to say the least and we were down to our second choice goalkeeper.

Love the Welsh fans, singing and befriending the French and Slovaks while the English are throwing chairs and bottles at anybody who walks past.

They've played well, it's an opening game, a game they're favourites in, have made some pretty clear chances, played some easy on the eye stuff and totally nullified Russia's threat. It's a good performance, just needs a goal, but football sometimes doesn't produce them no matter how well you play. It's one of the gphardest things to do in pro sport, goal scorers are bought for 10's of millions and paid double their non-scoring counterparts wages.

Thing is, in football you can be the best team, hit the post 3 times, have shots cleared off the line 4 times and dominate the game in every way, then concede a 94th minute own goal off a corner....That's the beauty and agony of it.

Tell that to Belgium (2nd ranked team in the world) who we (Wales) drew 0-0 to in Belgium (61% possession and 17 shots to 7) and beat them 1-0 in Wales (65% possession and 18 shots to 6 to Belgium) we got totally and utterly outplayed by a much more talented team on both occasions but won thanks to a shit back pass header to Bale and drew out there thanks to the woodwork, a great save or two and a couple off the line clearances.
