Marcus King Band. Makes me want to jump for joy (up and down on my stupid fingers)
They're superb, aren't they? He's such a happy guy too, just full of cool and fun.

Indeed. Hard to believe he is so young. Really want to see him live!

They were in the UK recently, but nowhere up this way (Scotland) that I noticed. Think it was only a fleeting visit as part of a short European tour.

The latest track from Marnie (she of Ladytron fame) is absolutely great. A lesson in music of this ilk. Figure on this being up your street @Moss too.

Pretty good - I'm not huge on the vocals, but the instrumental is massive

In This Moment - Blood and Fleshgod Apocalpyse - Agony

ITM are interesting, it's all about the vocals for me.  I think she's incredible, also slightly actually scary when she's doing her screams, check out the track Whore for that.  I think there are better songs, but the vocals on that one are a fantastic performance.

Fleshgod sound pretty much like a cross between Dimmu Borgir and Black Dahlia Murder, don't think any non metal fans will like it but I'm enjoying it.

"The Individualism of Gil Evans". I've liked his stuff with Miles Davis for a long time, and I used to have his "Out of the Cool" album and some kind of best-of compilation, so he's not a new artist for me.

I've always enjoyed and respected his work, but apart from the Davis albums up to now I'd have said there's either something missing, or there's something I'm not quite getting.  Impressive as hell but a little too cold or bland.

Well I've had my light bulb moment. Absolutely loving this album and pretty sure it will send me back to his other stuff with fresh ears.

Its not exactly guitar drenched music but some good playing by Kenny Burrell.
